Are You Dead? |

Be ye doers of the Word and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the Word and not a doer he is like unto a man who beholds his natural face in a glass, he then goes his way and immediately forgets what manner of man he was; he becomes a forgetful hearer. But whoever reads the perfect law of liberty and lives in it, he being not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, that person shall be blessed in his deeds. What does it profit though a man says he has faith and have not works? Can faith save him? If a person is naked and destitute of daily food and you give him not those things which are needful to the body; what does it profit? Even so faith if it has not works is dead; being alone. Yes, a man may say…”you have faith and I have works…show me your faith without your works and I will show you my faith by my works.” You believe that there is one God; you do well. The devils also believe and tremble. But will you know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead? By works a man is justified and not by faith only. For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. Robin L. kjv |
