Liberty Baptist Church Winston Salem NC

Pastor Gary Styers (Preacher Gary) was born in 1954 and was raised just outside of Walkertown. He attended school in Walkertown and graduated from East Forsyth High School in 1972. Gary was saved at the Gospel Light Baptist Church in January of 1973. In March of 1973, Gary married Patricia Wall and in March of 1975 they had a son, Gary II. In April of 1973, Gary and Patsy left Gospel Light to help Patsy's parents start a church in Kernersville,NC. In June of 1975, Gary surrendered his life to the ministry and through the years he has attended Piedmont Bible College Evening School and has taken numerous correspondence courses to study the Bible and counseling. While helping his father-in-law in Kernersville, Gary served the Lord in every capacity at this church and was ordained as Assistant Pastor several years later.

During these years, Gary also was invited to preach at many local churches, rest homes, jail, cottage prayer meetings, and revivals. In March of 1978, Gary and his family left under the leadership of the Lord to start Liberty Baptist just outside of Walkertown.
               The Lord has blessed the Liberty Baptist Church through the years enabling them to complete four building projects and maintain an active evangelism and missions program,including a Van Ministry. Preacher Gary has served the Lord for over 31 years as pastor here. You are invited to come and meet our pastor and visit a friendly church with a family atmosphere.
